
Types of Anesthesia Procedures
Endotracheal Intubation
A procedure that places a breathing tube into the windpipe (trachea) to secure an airway, provide oxygen, and enable mechanical ventilation.
Central Venous Catheterization
A process that involves inserting a thin tube into a large vein, usually in the neck or chest, to deliver medications, fluids, or monitor central venous pressure.
Arterial Line Insertion
A medical procedure where a small catheter is placed into an artery to continuously monitor blood pressure and collect blood samples for gas analysis.
Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap)
A procedure that uses a hollow needle to collect cerebrospinal fluid from the lower back for diagnostic testing or pressure measurement.
