
Types of Urology Procedures
Cystoscopy
A procedure that uses a thin, flexible scope to examine the bladder and urethra, helping diagnose infections, stones, or structural abnormalities.
Ureteroscopy (URS)
An endoscopic procedure that uses a thin scope to access the ureter and kidney, enabling the removal of stones or treatment of urinary tract blockages.
Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP)
A minimally invasive procedure that removes excess prostate tissue through the urethra to improve urine flow in men with enlarged prostate (BPH).
Ureteric Stenting
A procedure where a small tube is placed inside the ureter to bypass an obstruction and allow urine to flow smoothly from the kidney to the bladder.
